Character Quilt for the Boys

This is an embroidered quilt I made for my boys with a western cowboy theme. 

The close up pictures give you a better look at the individual squares.  I alternated using blue denium which was embroidered with various cowboy images and black squares which were embroidered with character qualities and Scripture verses dealing with each quality.  Each row dealt with a different character quality.  They were sashed with red bandana fabric.  The backing was black fabric.

 

I am a novice quilter and this was only my second quilt ever.  Pretty ambitious of me, but after working on it for almost a year, I finally finished it.  It has many mistakes, but it was made with love.

 

This is one way I have reinforce Biblical values and Scripture verses.
